Meet the Mission

Beyond Vision is the emotional bridge between diagnosis and thriving—a place for those who have lost sight to rediscover clarity, identity, and connection. It was created because there was a need for someone who is newly adjusting to their vision loss to have a safe space to be heard and seen. The psychological and emotional aspects of the vision loss journey are not talked about enough, and people need coaching, support, and community so they can grow through their journey. They can begin to live beyond their vision loss.

Our Mission

To empower individuals navigating vision loss with psychosocial tools, community support, and guided coaching that fosters resilience, emotional clarity, and meaningful identity beyond physical sight.

Our Vision

I don't believe that just because we have lost our vision, we have to lose our lives. We live in a world full of assistive tools and technology that can help us continue to live the life we desire without giving up our goals and dreams. We can maintain our independence and confidence as we continue to thrive.

Meet YaSheema

I am YaSheema Marshall, the owner and founder of brands that focus on empowering, educating and equipping people to thrive in life. I have over 20 years of experience in the social work industry and earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work with a specialty in mental health. I am also a Certified Parent Coach, Certified Family Support Partner, and a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in the State of Florida. My mission is to help people find solutions to their challenging life situations by providing practical strategies along with guiding support and community connection. I am passionate about helping those with visual impairments cope with the psychological and emotional challenges of their vision loss journey because just because we are losing our sight does not mean we have lost our vision. As a legally blind person, I understand the importance of adjusting and adapting to vision loss so we can live the life we desire and deserve. I want to be a beacon of hope and inspiration for those seeking light in their darkness. Thank you for allowing me to join you on your vision loss journey.
